How do we respond…

To success?

Do we embrace it, and use it for inspiration to continue our success, or do we shrink back down, and consider it a “fluke”, and use it as a de-motivator.

I have seen both, but we all need to be mindful of how we respond to our successes, because how we respond is a huge factor in our future.

Ever start back exercising…

Only to find out that you started out doing too much, too soon?

We sometimes get ahead of ourselves, and the aches and pains of the exercise serve as a demotivator to keep up our plan.
Usually time has passed since we were on an exercise program and we tend to start were we left off…but as the saying goes, “we ain’t what we used to be” really speaks volumes when it comes to our bodies.

You see, if we don’t use it, we lose it, and with exercise we need to start slowly, and over time we can gain it back.
Otherwise, we make every excuse in the world, not to go back to exercising…when we start doing too much, too soon.

Exercise should get the…

Body moving and the mind to slow down.

In the last century, we have transitioned our daily routine from our bodies doing most of the work, to our minds doing most of the work.

It’s due mostly by advancements of machinery and technology and we’ve become more of intellectually driven society compared from a physical, task driven society…

In keeping up with the shift, we need to focus on balancing our minds and bodies to attain the “right mix”.

So giving a break to something that seems to be always engaged – our minds – while we get the other thing working – our bodies – is a great plan to balance out what needs to be balanced out.

We don’t need opportunities…

Served up to us on a silver platter…it would be nice, but those are gifts, not opportunities.

One of the greatest running backs in the history of football was Walter Payton, who retired as the all-time rushing leader.

He didn’t need the entire football field open to accomplish his finest runs, he just needed one opening and he would do the rest.

What he said, pertaining to the opening was, “!8 inches, that’s all I need”.

What do you need?

We are what we…

Repeatedly do.

Some like to not think so, and try to be what they’re not, but people see through it.

So, what we do…is really who we are.

And we are viewed and measured, like it or not, by what we do, or by our actions, if you will…it makes sense, because how can we be viewed or measured by what we don’t do?

That’s the plain truth…maybe we need to change what we repeatedly do or keep doing what we repeatedly do…because it tells us, and other people who we really are.

Sometimes, we need to…

“Soak” it all in.

Not to “zone out” but to “zone in”.

We all need to “soak” on, the big picture of what has been going on in our lives, and to make a check list of what has worked and what hasn’t.

And within the process, we need to “zone in” on what we can do in the future to continue our success.

And when we “zone in”, and follow our plan, we can assure that our future will become a as successful, and even more so, than our past.
