The Big Picture

Looking at the “Big Picture” of your life…like where you have come from and more importantly, where you are going is vital.

Paying attention to the Big picture not only helps you stay on track, it keeps you from focusing on the little things that can take and keep your attention off track.

But, sometimes when you have challenges, we need to focus on the small picture which is the right thing to do, at the time, to handle the challenges.

BUT…remember to get back to the Big picture as soon as possible, so you end up where you want to end up.

Whether it be a group, team or family…

Keeping people going in the right direction takes constant steering but should not need rounding up again unless left unattended.

So if you find yourself in a continual round up, you may want to spend less energy rounding up and more energy in attending to the process.

A shock is sometimes good for us?

You betcha…and the only reason it is a shock, is because we weren’t ready for it.
When we are shocked by a situation, event or even a cold shower, it’s just because we are taken by surprise and have a hard time getting our heads, or our body around what just happened.

And getting shocked simply elevates our internal structures and functions to rise to the occasion.
It’s the “fight or flight” reaction of our body – where our autonomic nervous system shifts to meet the demand – the sympathetic nervous system takes over and the parasympathetic nervous system cools down – all to better help us deal with what we didn’t see coming.

So our body rises to the occasion, and so can we, and sometimes a little shock is what we all need to get us out of “idle”.

You can never do something nice…

…and not have affect you, positively.

So if you want to feel a little better, just change doing something nice for “yourself “into doing something nice for “someone else”.

You’ll feel better and so will the “someone else”…you get a 2-fer…Sweet.

Free really does Cost…

With concern to the “things” in our lives.

The fact is, people make things, and usually not for free, at least in the long run…so someone eventually has to pay.

But our lives are Free and so are our Choices.

Maybe it would be a good idea to cut some costs and throw out some of our wants for certain “things”, and then we can be free to enjoy the stuff that really matters most.
