Pam Worthy…

Got along with folks like candy to a baby.

People loved her. She had an inspiring personality and  a “can do” attitude, which left nothing but fulfillment and hope wherever she went.

There was not much difference with Pam than with most others, with the exception that she understood that all people “matter” and should be treated royally.

So she made it a point to keep her thoughts positively aligned with her desired outcome to “bring up” everyone she made contact with.

It is also no surprise that Pam’s life was fulfilling and abundant, and all the people she helped out, not only returned the favor, but they started to help out others…from her inspiration.

Baby Steps…

In coaching, I have seen individuals, teams and departments take it to the “Next Level” when they work out a solid game plan and don’t rush the process.

Regretfully, I have also seen disappointment when they attempt to rush it as well.

Like when you were a kid and cut your fingernails too short…you have pain which you will get over, but the one thing that stays, is the pain of taking on (or off, in this case) too much at once, which you then carry forward as a negative feeling towards the process.

Take your time… work the plan and the plan will work.

Saving Money and Eating Healthy?

You bet…eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive as fruits and vegetables usually cost less than the foods that aren’t the best for you.

We do “free meals” at least twice a week in our house by taking our left overs and then “lighten them up” for our next meal.

Just cut up a whole bunch of vegetables like carrots, onions, zucchini, celery, cabbage, tomatoes or whatever you like and  turn your leftovers into a stir fry, soup, casserole or mix with rice, potatoes or couscous.

Then add some spices or flavorings to your taste and you have yourself a delicious and healthy “free meal”.

Date Night??

Why not??

If you’re single, in a relationship or with a family…date nights are pretty sweet.

Make it the way you want it, get dressed up, rent a movie, have a special meal!

What you do is not as important as the feeling you get in the anticipation of date night and the reality of “turning off” the outside world for YOUR celebration.

So make date night a routine…We do Wednesday night…kinda like a weekend in the middle of the week…the kids get a soda and a special desert and I usually BBQ the family meal…maybe it’s not as special as when we used to go out and get a babysitter, but it’s better now because we share date night with the whole family!!!!

I read a story…

About “The Two Wolves”, that I would like to share:

One evening, an Old Cherokee told his grandson about the battle that goes on inside all people. He said, “Grandson, the battle is between the two “wolves” inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins”.

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed”.
