One nice thing…

That’s all I want you to do.

Some people do at least one nice thing a day and if YOU haven’t been doing at
least one nice thing a day…time to start.

I’m not talking about doing a nice thing for yourself, I’m talking about one
nice thing for someone else.

The pay off?? The person will feel good about who you are or what you did and
YOU will feel better about who you are or what you did.

Pretty simple.

Thanks for “doing one nice thing” – Coach

Laura Miglietti sent the following e-mail on Friday, the same day Dr. Vik’s One Nice Thing e-mail came. Dr. Vik thought others should know about it. When Laura mentions “Happy” in the e-mail, she is referring to Chrissi Rivas.

    Here is Laura’s e-mail:

Something amazing happened to me yesterday and I wanted to share it with
    all of you.

As a single mom you learn to do without, you learn to put others before
you, to not get new things because you have other responsibilities. I’m
not complaining because I love being a mom and I love being able to give
to my kids. With that said it is still nice when I can spend money on
myself without feeling guilty about it.

As you all know the vendor party is coming up and as a girl I’m totally
excited about dressing up. The other day while at the mall with Happy,
I tried on a pair of Baby Phat shoes that were to die for. They were
way beyond my budget but I thought, “if we carry them, I’ll get my
discount.” I came into work the next day hoping we carried them but no,
we do not. Although I knew they were the perfect fit, I just didn’t
know if I could spend that kind of money on one pair of shoes. I felt
stupid for feeling bad about not being able to get them so I tried to
find another pair but nothing looked as perfect.

Well last night I went to visit Happy and guess what??? She bought me
the shoes while I was here at work. I was shocked. It has been a very
long time since someone got me something, just because. It’s not my
birthday, there is no special occasion, she just got them for me because
she knew I wouldn’t get them for myself. Happy I HEART you and your act
of kindness and generosity was PHENOMENALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!

Sorry guys about the long e-mail, but I had to share this.
