Why is it…

We tend to only schedule our headaches?

With “To do” lists…”To do” this, “To do” that:

Pick up the laundry, go shopping, clean the toilets, mow the lawn, go to work, gut the garage, buy the present, finish the chores…not a lot of love there.

We need to spin it, and schedule time to “Do to” ourselves and others…that’s where the love is, whether we are in a relationship or bliss – we need to make the time.

We are going to “to do” until we’re done, so we better “do to” before we are.

“If you don’t know where you are going…

Any road will take you there”.

Good plan, if you don’t care where you end up.

But last I checked, most people want to know where they are going to end up.

So all we have to do is make a plan to where we want to go, and then we will be looking for, and recognize the roads that will take us there.

Happiness isn’t a place…

It’s a journey.

Happiness is not found in the end results, it is found in the process.

Happiness is not a destination, it is the way to travel.

We can put it in many forms, but we must always remember that we need to find and enjoy happiness along the way, and not wait until the end.

Satisfaction??

I need it, I want it, seems like I haven’t had it in such a long time. Something sweet, something cool, something satisfying…. Yes, I want ice cream. I am so hungry for ice cream, I would do anything for it. When

I close my eyes I can imagine how good it will be to eat it and how satisfied it will make me feel.

Ahhhh, finally ice cream…. how sweet, how creamy, how cool. I haven’t had ice cream in such a long time. I said I would do anything for some ice cream and I meant it, boy am I in heaven. How can anything get any better?? I’m sitting in the sun eating my ice cream, my favorite flavor – rocky road, with big pieces of marshmallow and crunchy almonds. I’m getting down to the cone and man is that crunch of the cone great with the ice cream or what? How sad, I am almost finished with the cone….the last bite gone, satisfaction at last!

I need it, I want it, seems like I haven’t had it in such a long time. Something wet, something cool, something satisfying…yes I want water. I am so thirsty for water, I would do anything for it. When I close my eyes I can imagine how………………………….

Don’t let go…

If you have a dream – don’t let go.

If you have a plan and things seem to get in the way – don’t let go.

If your sight gets clouded, remember you still have your vision – don’t let go.

It is your life – don’t ever let go.

Overcoming Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a demineralization of the bone, mostly with respect to calcium. It results in less bone density and makes one susceptible to fracture.

Many people can over come this by understanding it’s cause.

Wolff’s Law is explained as “bone will remodel itself over time to become stronger in response to the stresses put upon it, and conversely, if the load or stress on the bone decreases, the bone will become weaker as the strength is not needed”.

Examples are a Pro tennis players bones in the forearm show up to 50% more bone density than the non-racket holding arm, and the opposite is true for astronauts which are in space in a weightless environment (no gravity), the bone looses it’s density and strength.

In the population, most cases of osteoporosis are in the aging. For the most part it is a result of decreased movement or exercise. To supplement calcium only, will not reverse the condition as the calcium will not be transported to the bone if there is no stress put upon it.

To help reverse the effects of osteoporosis, systematically increase movement and exercise as you increase calcium rich foods in your diet such as dark green vegetables.
