Light stress or stress in short duration can actually be good for us, as our body has the ability to “recover” and become stronger.
But continued stress, with out relief, can breakdown even the strongest. There are a lot of things in life you may need to stress about but there are so many more things to release and let go.
Stress is telling you that there is something that is putting a demand upon you and needs to be handled. But continual or prolonged stress means you are not addressing the stress and resolving it by handling it or releasing it and letting it go.
So you have 2 choices in response to stress:
1. Handle it.
2. Release it and let it go.
By not addressing stress, you are inviting future trouble. Prolonged stress has the same physiological effects on your body as most other negative emotions, including anger.
Stress puts your body in an acidic state which is a breeding ground for things breaking down as well as “conditions”. Stress contracts and constricts many of the bodies tissues and it also creates shallow breathing which decreases oxygen into your body and “conditions” cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment.
Stress……Handle it or Release it and let it go, your body depends on it.
