Look at the “Whole Picture”

Many times we tend to focus on the situation or person without regard to
the whole picture.

I even catch myself at times…as well as people I coach. One of the
main topics I come in contact with are challenges with family members.

For instance, the parents get all lathered up because their teenager is
acting up, doing this and that…but looking at the whole picture
reveals that they are just a teenager, doing what teenagers do.

Not meaning that you need to ignore, allow or put up with actions that
are not to be tolerated, it’s just the way teenagers act. If you really
think back, you probably weren’t a gem in your teenage years either.

So looking at the whole picture may help you to see things as they
really are and give you the patience to act or respond in a different
manner.
