And moved to a beautiful place in California, but with nothing to do and no one to do it with.
The story is: I was going to join the Amazing Country Club, hoping to find something to do. It was all that you could ask for, and one of the most challenging and expensive golf courses in California – so I wanted to make sure, before I paid any dough so I spoke to an old baseball buddy from the Bay Area that also moved to a neighboring town and asked him about the club.
He said “Don’t join”, I asked why and he told me “”Because about 5 years ago, the club was flooded by young, rich, pretty boys”. I said, so…and he said “There’s also a 3- 4 year waiting list for people to get out of the club and get there money back, so if you join – you will never get your money back”.
I asked why is everyone leaving…and he said “Because they are not so young, pretty or rich, anymore”.
