“Those who don’t read history, are condemned to repeat it”.
But more precisely, cycles in history, life and nature, are what we need to understand.
Most everything is cyclical – if viewed with enough time.
The cycle that spans the human life are birth, growth, receding, death, and in ancient history they represent it as a unit of time called a saeculum.
There is a cyclical pattern in organic nature – in the seasons, in tides, in night and day, maybe early or late, but winter always comes.
War, depressions, inflations also are regular, and may also come earlier or later, but the cycles roll on, and they lie deep in the natural life of humanity.
Understanding cycles can allow us to be prepared for what comes next – pretty sweet.
