You bet…eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive as fruits and vegetables usually cost less than the foods that aren’t the best for you.
We do “free meals” at least twice a week in our house by taking our left overs and then “lighten them up” for our next meal.
Just cut up a whole bunch of vegetables like carrots, onions, zucchini, celery, cabbage, tomatoes or whatever you like and turn your leftovers into a stir fry, soup, casserole or mix with rice, potatoes or couscous.
Then add some spices or flavorings to your taste and you have yourself a delicious and healthy “free meal”.
